Today is World Water Day 2021, with the theme of “valuing water”. Water is essential to life and livelihoods – yet access to it is unequal, and often complex trade-offs have to be considered when allocating between different purposes.

On 4 February 2021 over 80 young Malawians, aged between 18 and 35 and committed to climate change issues, joined “The Road to COP26-National Youth Consultative Forum on Climate Change”.

Malawi's 2019 heatwave led to consecutive days with very high temperatures - a scenario that tea growers fear. Tea bushes were scorched in Mulanje and Thyolo districts.

The new government took over affairs of state at the most critical time for Malawi - says Katharine Vincent, of the BRACC Knowledge and Policy Hub.
