In February 2022 the BRACC Knowledge and Policy Hub hosted a Virtual Learning Event to present findings of the recent evaluation of the BRACC programme. The open event was attended by representatives of government, donors, NGOs, the private sector, and the various component BRACC projects, including PROSPER, GIZ, African Parks and Modern Cooking for Healthy Forests. An evaluation of the BRACC programme was conducted in late 2021, just over 2.5 years into the programme.

Part one of the Virtual Learning Event, held on 15th February, saw Jennifer Leavy, BRACC Monitoring, Evaluation and Adaptive Learning lead, present findings of the impact evaluation.

This was followed by Liz Venable, BRACC Technical coordinator and Lena Weingaertner, BRACC Research lead, presenting the learning from the evaluation of PROSPER interventions, including insurance, access to finance, livestock pass-on, cash for inputs, and the crisis modifier.

Part two of the Virtual Learning Event, held on 17th February, saw Ying-Syuan (Elaine) Huang, BRACC programme design specialist and Katharine Vincent, BRACC Hub team leader, present learning about programme design, including coordination, targeting, bundling and sequencing and adaptive management.

This was followed by Liz Venable, BRACC Technical coordinator, presenting learning on resilience measurement.
